COMING SOON

We are off to Wanaka’s Festival of Colour in April, collaborating with local poets as part of a new iteration of Celestia Zealantis and facilitating a youth project.

The Hutt Community Labyrinth will be installed for Tumeke Taita, Walter Nash Centre on March 16th.

We have been invited back as lead artists for both the Steampunk NZ Festival in Oamaru June and for the Hutt Winter Festival in August.

Otherwise we have a couple of projects in Wellington in the works - we will share more about when they are firmed up.

RECENT HIGHLIGHTS

We were in Oamaru last November as part of their Victorian Féte. Our classic blue improv perfomances drew passers-by directly into our Victorian themed murals, aided by pre-stencilled elements.

Our third "A Very Welly Christmas" on Lambton Quay last November saw our intricate and colourful 'Lotus Labyrinth' with live tape drawing around the perimeter.

We were humbled to have won the Arts & Culture category (Porirua) for the Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards for the Porirua Kite Project last year.

We supported Pasifika artists to share their skills with young people, as part of a new arts day programme as part of Hutt’s very successful Polyfest.

We facilitated the making of a three-part community labyrinth that will celebrate local imagery and stories into a permanent re-installable labyrinth for the Hutt Winter Festival. It continues to be used in the Hutt valley for groups to use as part of celebrations and special occasions.

Happy to have work sent to Berlin and installed as part of the second Tape Art Convention last July. The piece had highly detailed colour patterns within a figurative stained glass composition.

We created our very first permanent painted mural in Lower Hutt called 'Hold Fast' . We still used improv tape drawing for people and added stencilled details of a myriad of cultural patterns within the flying figurative formation.
